On Saturday we went to our first farmers market-type thing called "La Feria". It was in a local park that's within walking distance and there were lots of great stuff. It had everything...fish,, vegetables, fruit, eggs, bread, plants and lots of flowers for Mother's Day. They even had a stand for fresh-squeezed fruit juices and food. The prices are good and the food is fresh from the past week. I think we paid a total of $12 for potatoes, mamon chinos, carrots, onions, eggs, limons, green beans and bananas. We even bought some pastry bread on the way home for breakfast this week. Definitely a cultural experience!
