Being a part of a covenant family is amazing. It's more than going to church, more than good childrens programs, more than great facilities, more than how it makes you feel...it's being a part of something bigger than yourself where everyone is focused on the care and growth of each other and ultimately pointing to Christ through it all. We came to Grace Evangelical Church in December 2001. We knew very little about ministry at this point and were very young, so I can honestly say that we grew up at this church. I came on staff a year later, and Will and I worked together in ministry for almost 10 years here. My titles have included Jr. High Girls Director, Youth Staff Administrator and Sr. High Girls Director. Will's jobs have been Jr. High Youth Minister, Sr. High Youth Minister, Young Couples Minister and Mens Minister. Everything we have learned about ministry has been taught to us from Grace Evan. It's been a wonderful journey and this church means the world to us. It's our home, where we grew up, where our family is, where we're being sent from, and a piece of us will always be here...our hearts break to leave. We have felt loved and supported in our journey to "leave the shire" as our pastor calls it, and I can't imagine doing this without our church.
We love you, we thank you, and we will miss you.
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace" Number 6:24
