Costa Rica Christmas Things

So I'm way behind in blogging. When we went back to the States in December, I didn't want to feel like I had to catch up on anything. So, I made it wait until now. I have several blogs to catch up on in the next few days and I'll start with some Christmas things we did before leaving Costa Rica on December 8th.

Jack had his Christmas music program at preschool where he sang several songs in Spanish. That boy can belt out Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! He also sang another song about a flower where they all had flower petals around their heads. Will made me promise not to post a picture of this and pretend it never happened.

We also did a few Christmas things as a family. We went to sing Christmas carols in English and Spanish at the AMCA ministry house which was really neat. We also helped with the Roblealto Childrens Home Christmas party at our school where we bought gifts for kids and helped with games. My class even had a little Christmas party at my teacher's house which was great to just hang out and relax with the girls. There was also a "holiday" parade right by our house starting in the park. In the month of December, there are tons of parades and fireworks...constantly.

Dressing up in costumes...Are these characters Christmassy? I don't think so.

  1. No Christmas parade is complete without jugglers, stilts, drummers, unicycles, belly dancers, air, and the devil...it takes your mind off the commercialism and points to the true meaning of Christmas, don't you think?
